Dirico Motorcycles SEAL Prostreet
This is the first of 5 bikes we are doing with Dirico Motorcycles, the Steven Tyler partnered motorcycle company. Dirico is doing these bikes as a promotional raffle to raise funds for the No Greater Sacrifice Foundation, a foundation geared towards raising money for the education of children of fallen soldiers. This bike and four more will be finished by the first of 2012 and put on tour for the motorcycle season.
These three images below are the Digital Pre-Designs that Josh Bourassa built for the project. The tank and fenders start with a black base and get artwork to start. SEAL frogmen on each side of the tank and rear fender and a sniper on the front. The second tone of the paint job is a pattern of SEAL tridents that will be finished in flat clear. The Chrome on the bike is finished in black nickle chrome as well.
These next images are in progress images of the airbrush artwork. With little direction from Josh, Ryan Townsend applied the airbrush images with great skill and accuracy. Teh subtly of the rear fender is to inspire intrigue, while the impactt of the front images is to provide shock and awe. The artwork on the tank is designed to give a the feel of prowess that only the Navy Seals can accomplish. The calmness of of dawn in the water with the impending power of the SEALS.
The next image is the refined artwork and the tape line for the green stripe. A little more masking and we painted on a bright green 3/16 stripe to separate the airbrush art from the pattern design which will be finished in flat clear.
So, now we have the SEAL tridents laid out to shoot Graphite Black over.
After the color is applied the stickers are removed.
Now for clean up and clear coat. This will get a healthy coating, cut and polished and remasked for flat two tone.
